Description
Started this yesterday and actually kept with it. The fifth in the series and Rarity isn't exactly in a generous mood. She's battled with the still unknown enemy and has the scars to show for it in the frozen mountain tops of Equestria.
Hope you all like this piece. This piece was difficult as I didn't know the direction of it for hours and tried so many different techniques to get my base but I do feel that I'm improving.
Also, I have decided to write a story for these pieces and am currently working on it. If people continue to enjoy these works then I will continue to make them and eventually get to showing the enemies I have envisioned as well as other characters from the show. Pinkie Pie is next to come and the final one for the Mane Six.

Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactI wasn't sure I should critique again. I have no experience in electronic media, and I have no degree in Art, just a few classes. So I feel like I'm approaching Michelangelo with suggestions about how to improve the Sistene Chapel.
However, since I do have enough art education to comment, I offer my observations.
I have really enjoyed this series you have been doing. I do like the differing armor styles and individual thought you have put into each one. Yes, it shows.
I think your use of blurred elements looks good, is interesting, and does not distract from the subject.
Where I think you have been less effective, is what you are trying to communicate. In all your other works, your subject was commanding, strong, powerful. They took up lots of space in your frame. AJ, RD, TS, FS, all of them have hair, wings, or some part of them cut off by the frame. This implies that they are, in essence: Bigger, and/or stronger than the picture (situation) they are in.
Rarity, is completely contained in this picture. Fine if you want to show her vulnerable, small, or weak. But that hasn't been your focus, unless you are changing that with her.
I think you have been a very effective storyteller till now. I'm really interested in knowing what you had in mind with this piece. It may be that your technique is not what bothers you, but how you used your space and arranged your elements.
That is my opinion, I'm going to go play with my box of crayons now.
